How do I get textbooks?

Allen Community College utilizes a textbook rental program to help reduce the cost for students. Textbook rental fees are included in the cost of your class.  That is why full payment must be received in order for students to receive textbooks.  Some specialized courses require that students purchase their textbook. 

Rental textbooks must be returned at the end of the semester or upon dropping/withdrawing from  a class or students will be assessed the current replacement cost of the books.  All academic transcripts will be held until payment is received.

Textbooks can be picked up at either the Iola or Burlingame Campuses.  Please call before you make a trip to the campus so that we can be certain it’s in stock and you don’t waste a trip. Because we keep stock at both campuses, a book may or may not be available at the campus you want if you don’t call first.  You may have your book mailed to you for a convenience fee.  To request this service, please call 785-654-2416, ext. 208 or email abolyard@allencc.edu.
